If you are going from commercial shampoos to Shampoo Bars, you may have to detox your hair to get rid of all of the silicones and polymers that have coated your hair for so long:
Add 1/4 Cup lemon juice or vinegar to a 2 Cup container and fill the rest with water. Work the mask into your hair, covering all your hair. Let sit for 15-20 min and then rinse well with warm water. Wash hair with 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar in 2 cups of water. Rinse again with water and use the shampoo bar. Use again when hair appears dry or dull.
